Erika discovered photography by chance at the University of Michigan, choosing it over ceramics—and knew she had found her place on the very first night in the darkroom. After graduating with a degree in history, she packed a U-Haul and headed west to California, where years of assisting on high-end commercial and editorial shoots honed her problem-solving skills and deepened her love for life on set. A true light aficionado, she is drawn to compelling sources, real people, and imagery that captures emotion and story.

She is currently based in Dallas, Texas, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and son, though she considers the world her playground. Her travels have taken her to every continent except Antarctica.
