Steven is a prolific interior photographer who is well-known in the catalogue world for his modern and clean aesthetic that might look effortless but in fact was carefully constructed according to his vision. He started in catalogs and interiors before teaming up with his wife, Bette Blau, to work with artisans, makers, farmers, and food.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, he draws creativity from the cityscapes he has inhabited as well as the far-flung places his work and photography have taken him. When he’s not shooting, he’s cooking, traveling, hiking, or having a glass of straight rye whiskey.
